The Intermedia MFA Program proudly hosts a yearlong Visiting Artist series that brings a diversity of talent, perspective and experience through regular workshops, performances and public lectures. In one-way or another, each of our guest artists exemplifies aspects of intermedia. Attendance at these events is filled with students, faculty and university and local communities. Graduate students are given one-on-one time with artist for portfolio reviews, studio visits and chats.
Some of our past artists have included TED Talk contributors, internationally recognized writers, composers and performers including John Cage collaborator, Joel Chadabe, philosopher and art critic, Laurence LeBoullec, and more. Each academic year we offer between 10 and 15 events for which graduate students are encouraged to attend.
In our up coming 2012-2013 season we will be hosting some very exciting artist from areas such as experimental sound, performance, social activism, and new media. Check our calendar for details!
